In 2005, Stephen experienced a ‘divine intervention’ awakening after learning about the projection of an exponential increase in mental health patients in Singapore in the next five years.
Since then, Stephen has dedicated his mission to building flourishing lives to buck the research trend. He founded The School of Positive Psychology (TSPP) in 2007, the first-ever institute offering positive psychology studies and organisational interventions in Asia. Since then, Stephen has helped build thriving organisations across the region and expanded TSPP’s impact to the Philippines, Hong Kong, and Japan.
He has worked with the Hilton group, Meta, Bloomberg, GIC, Singapore Police Force and SingHealth, among many others. Stephen is a practising psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist, supervisor and nominated fellow with the National Council of Psychotherapists in the U.K.
As a psychotherapist and a positive psychology coach, Stephen has worked with more than 800 clients globally. Stephen holds an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology focusing on Organisational Psychology and Leadership.
